News & Diary
3rd December 2008 - Winter arrives on Bonsall Moor
It's a while since my last entry. Busy with seasonal craft fairs and family portraits.
The frosts and snow in December show that winter has finally arrived on Bonsall Moor.
Here's a beautifully simple image of a frosty drystone wall and cows hair on barbed wire.
29th October 2008 - Cromford Mill Exhibition
I'm half way through my exhbition at the gallery in Cromford Mill. Thanks very much
to everyone who has come along and looked round. There have been some really nice comments
both on the quality of the work and also the layout of the exhbition. We clear down Friday
lunchtime and will be at the Masson Mill Shopping centre at the weekend.
2nd October 2008 - Padley Woods & Burbage Brook
As usual, Padley Woods were looking great today, just as autumn is starting to turn the leaves
golden. Still plenty of leat cover to provide some nice dappled shade.
After the recent rainfall, Burbage Brook was in full flow. Areas that I would normally be
able to wade in with my wellies, were far too deep, and the peat stained water made it diffcult to see
the bottom. I certainly wasn't going to risk slipping and ruining all my gear!
Arriving just after 3 pm only allowed a couple of hours so I decided to concentrate on some close-ups.
I then headed up to Lawrence Field for an image of the old oak tree before returning home.
